Timothy J. F. Frederick, MD null male Living with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for 6 years, 2 months Age: 45
My name is Tim, I am 39 years old, and I have non-Hodgkin lymphoma. I went to the doctor for an antibiotic on a Monday morning, and was hospitalized the next evening with SVC syndrome, obstruction of blood flow in the superior vena cava . The mass in my chest was 11cm by 4cm, and I was having trouble breathing.
I just completed my 2nd round of chemo, and am waiting for the results of my PET scan to see if I need to proceed to a stem cell transplant. Our family is on pins and needles, and we are hoping to have good news.
Regardless, I will fight this disease. Our new motto is "One Day at A Time". Live Strong!
