Laura Decker Staten Island, NY United States female Living with Hodgkin Lymphoma for 15 years, 8 months Age: 30 I was diagnosed with stage III A Hodgkin lymphoma in January of 1995, at the age of 14. I was treated with chemotherapy (ABVD) for 6 months and have been in remission for 12 years. I participate in the Light the Night Walk every year and continue to share my story with those who are going through the same ordeal and those who have survived as well. I know that my journey as a cancer survivor will be a long one. I live with the effects of the disease everyday, but I find a way to overcome them and enjoy the second chance I was given. I was married in August of 2007 and am looking forward to a new start. |
