CHRISSY d OCEAN CITY, NJ United States female Living with Myeloma for 4 years, 5 months Age: 40 A young kid misjudged the size of the parking space and smashed into my 2-month-old car. This was the car we just bought to have something reliable to drive me to my doctor appointments that are 3 hours away. When I saw the damage I was upset, but thought 'oh well, if that is the worst thing that is going to happen to me then OH WELL. It is what it is. Being diagnosed with a weird cancer when my son was just a year old really gave me a huge fender bender. I didn't have my seatbelt on and didn't anticipate the physical and emotional ride that I had signed up for. Here it is almost 2 years later and I'm still alive. I look forward to having the pleasure of my car getting scraped up for many years to come. My incurable cancer is what it is, but I am what I am.... and I am one tough cookie that 'aint going to let this ruin my day! |
